Change of rotation speed of pestle (pestle) during work


Q. Is it possible to change the rotation speed of the pestle (pestle) automatically while the machine is operating (working)?

It is an option, but it is possible by setting the rotation speed on the inverter and programming on the control panel.

The Desktop model(D series) can be changed in standard specifications.For the conventional type, the rotation speed can be changed by installing an inverter (as  an options)  Please contact us if you wish to install the option.


Q. Is it possible to use the Ishikawa type stirring and crushing machine in the glove box?

It has been confirmed that the Ishikawa type stirring and crushing machine D series (stainless steel housing) operates the machine in an atmosphere of inert gas such as argon gas or nitrogen gas in the glove box.

However, please contact us when using the machine in a decompressed (vacuum) glove box.


Q. What is the response when you want to use the machine in the explosion-proof area?

 The conventional machine of the Ishikawa type stirring and crushing machine has a control panel of the machine, electric wiring, and an electric system such as an explosion-proof motor that is outside the explosion-proof area, and the pulleys and belts are used to drive the motor power to the machine shaft and It is moved to the mechanical part such as gears.

Viscosity of processable materials


Q. How much viscosity can be processed by stirring and crushing?

Depending on the input amount (processing amount) of the material, the high viscosity band can be processed up to about several hundred thousand mPa sec as a guide.When processing high-viscosity materials, it is recommended to use with a dosage that is less than the "processing volume" set for each machine size.

Larger machines tend to have higher stirring and crushing capacity. 

Regarding the relationship between material viscosity, input amount, and processing volume, we recommend that you evaluate your material after processing it with an actual machine.

About particle size to be crushed


Q. What is the maximum size that can be crushed by the Ishikawa system?

The size that can be crushed depends on the processing material.

Depending on the processing method and material, micron-level crushing is possible, but we recommend that you evaluate your material by processing it with an actual machine.(Please contact us "Inquiries regarding machine selection")

Q. Is it possible to adjust the crushing power and stirring ability?

There are several ways to adjust the agitation force of the machine.

By changing the spring constant built into the pestle, you can adjust the force with which the top of pestle pushes the mortars, change the shape of the pestle (the pestle), change the material of the pestle, agitate/rotate the machine . Please contact us

Q. Is it possible to perform stirring and crushing while warming the material to 50℃-70℃?

Q. Is it possible to perform stirring and crushing while heating the material to 100℃ or higher?

By attaching a heat insulating material to heating and cooling type (the EB type) of the Ishikawa type stirring and crushing machine and using oil instead of hot water as the heat medium, it is possible to perform stirring and crushing while heating up to about 120°C.

Q. Is it possible to perform stirring and crushing while cooling the material to about 20℃?

For stirring and crushing while cooling, the process is performed by putting cold water into the double pot (with outer pot) machine to cool the pot from the outside or connecting a chiller. If you would like a machine with a cooling device in the machine body, please contact us.

Q. About replacement guidelines for porcelain mortar

The inside of the porcelain mortar wears away due to friction with the pestle and friction with the processing material, and a step is created between the outermost track of the pestle top and the outside of the track.

If this step exceeds about 5 mm (for a size A porcelain mortar , the allowable size of the step varies depending on the size), there is a high possibility of damage due to vibration or shock during stirring and crushing. The size of the step due to the abrasion of this mortar is one guide, and the inside of the mortar may be worn unevenly, so we recommend that you bring a spare mortar in case of unexpected damage to the mortar. 


Q. Is it possible to modify, overhaul, or repair the Ishikawa type stirring and crushing machine manufactured over 70 years ago?

Machine malfunction


Q. Why doesn't the machine power on? ‥

Please make sure that the power outlet is plugged in.

If the machine does not work even if the outlet is plugged in, please check if the original power source (whether the breaker is ON) is on or not.


Q. Regarding that oil is seeping out from the machine and there is an oil leak.

Loosen the oil drain screw near the oil leak and drain the oil.

If you do not know how to remove the oil, or if the oil leakage does not stop even after removing the oil, please contact us.

 


Q. Does the machine not move, makes a strange noise, or is it violently violent? ‥
